Exide Q3 Net up 25% at Rs 97.23 crore

Battery manufacturer Exide Industries on Saturday reported a 25.42 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs. 97.23 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs. 77.52 crore in the same period last fiscal, it said in a BSE filing.

Net sales during the period under review stood at Rs. 1,557.9 crore as against Rs. 1,301.41 crore in the year-ago period.

The company said during the quarter its cost of raw materials consumed increased by 4.6 per cent to Rs. 967.91 crore as against Rs. 925.22 crore in the same period last fiscal.
