Not ready for full capital account convertibility: RBI Deputy Governor

India is not ready for full capital account convertibility, Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor H. R. Khan said here on Thursday.

“The pros and cons of full capital account openness is a contentious issue, and, in any case, we are not ready for it at this point of time,” said Mr. Khan, while delivering the key note address on ‘Derivatives dynamics: looking back and looking ahead’ at the Finance Conclave 2015, organised by SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, here.
