Online restaurant discovery firm Zomato has acquired Turkey’s restaurant search service Mekanist in an all-cash deal. The acquisition, whose value was not disclosed, is its seventh in the last six months.

Zomato’s restaurant coverage will increase from about 27,500 restaurants in Istanbul and Ankara to more than 50,000 restaurants across Turkey, it said in a statement.

“Mekanist has established itself as one of the heavyweights in the online restaurant search and discovery space in Turkey. We’re excited to be joining forces with them as we continue to grow in one of our most important markets. Mekanist is one of the first and most successful tech start-ups to emerge from the Turkish start-up ecosystem,” Zomato Founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal said.

Zomato, which is looking to raise $100 million in fresh funding, has been on acquisition spree in the global market.
