To cash on the Diwali festival season, eBay India is offering discounts up to 75 per cent in the technology segment.

eBay has rolled out ‘Loudest Diwali Ever’ programme with unbeatable deals and flash sales across products and categories. First time users are lured with free movie tickets, free cab ride and dinner for two. All deals and discounts will be available on www.ebay.in till November 13.

Talking to reporters, Vidmay Naini, eBay India Director – Business Operations said on Tuesday: “We are not in a race to give discounts. We are also not blowing money to increase our bottomline. We are not in valuation game. These discounts are given by our vendors/sellers, based on the consumer trend suggested by us.”

Of the 4.5 million shoppers on ebay.in, Chennai accounts for seven per cent of it as of second quarter of 2015. Chennai is among the top 10 e-commerce hubs in India and ranks number five.

For the diwali season, the top five products in the Chennaities wish list includes perfumes, cameras, electronic items, watches, beauty products and health products.
