Congress rejects J&K exit poll results

December 22, 2014 01:49 am | Updated November 16, 2021 07:07 pm IST - Jammu:

The Congress on Sunday described as “baseless and unscientific” the exit polls results that predicted a washout of the party in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections,

Congress spokesperson Salman Nizami said the exit polls were an attempt to mislead the people and demoralise party candidates and workers.

He said the Congress was confident of forming the next government in the State. “The survey conducted is unscientific as it has taken into consideration a small sample from only urban areas of the State, whereas rural areas have been completely ignored,” he said.
