Breaking down the poll list: education, age and gender

Most of the candidates in the fray for the Delhi Assembly elections are under 50 years of age, as per a report released by the Association of Democratic Reform on Friday.

Sixty-nine per cent of the 673 candidates are between 25 and 50 years old. A total of 71 candidates are aged between 25 and 31, that is 10.54 per cent of all candidates.

ADR’s report states that 186 candidates are between 31 and 40 years and 208 candidates are aged 41-50 years. Senior citizens account for 69 of the total candidates, including Congress candidate from Ambedkar Nagar, 82-year-old Chaudhary Prem Singh.
