Fresh from the success of her production debut NH10 , actor Anushka Sharma promises to back films in future regarded as “risky”. “In future also we would like to back films that can be considered slightly risky since they don’t have song and dance,” she said.
The star, who made her debut with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi , a movie with a full song-and-dance routine, added, or me as an actor it is brilliant that I can do both song-dance films and also something like ‘NH10’. It is versatility (sic) which every actor aspires.”
Excited about her new dual role as produce and actor, the 26-year-old Bollywood star also added, “When I read the script it was like any other film I did. It excited me so much that I wanted to make sure that it happened.”
“I think it is a wonderful process of transformation from an actress to a producer,” she said giving credit to director Navdeep Singh and writer Sudip Sharma for bringing up such a theme that she could not resist.
Anushka got a rousing reception when she attended the film’s premiere at the festival with a number of Indians turning up to catch a glimpse of their favourite star.
