Dhanush’s ‘Visaranai’ enters Venice film festival

Visaaranai, a yet-to-be released experimental Indian Tamil thriller film, is written and directed by Vetrimaaran of Polladhavan fame.

Actor Dhanush’s production venture Visaranai has become the first Tamil movie to have its premiere in the competition section of the upcoming 72nd Venice International Film Festival.

Visaaranai , a yet-to-be released experimental Indian Tamil thriller film, is written and directed by Vetrimaaran of Polladhavan fame.

The film stars Attakathi Dinesh, Anandhi and Aadukalam Murugadoss in the leading roles.

“Visaaranai to premier at the 72nd Venice international film festival in Orizzonti competitive category. Proud Wunderbar films. In the 72 years history of Venice film festival #Visaaranai is the first Tamil feature to enter in a competitive category,” Dhanush posted on Twitter.

The film is Dhanush’s second film as producer to get international recognition after the critically acclaimed Kaaka Muttai .

The 72nd Venice Film Festival is scheduled to run from September 2 to September 12.
