As far as Tamil movie titles go, Meenkuzhambum Manpaanayum is quite a mouthful.

Non-Tamilians found out the hard way just how much of a mouthful it is when the movie suddenly started trending on Twitter on Saturday morning — just as the movie’s audio launch was underway.

Quite a number of non-Tamilians were left scratching their heads in confusion after trying to pronounce the complicated name. The hashtag even left some Tamilians wondering why a recipe was suddenly trending!

Don’t worry, though. If you don’t get it, we’ll break it down for you.

Meenkuzhambum Manpaanayum literally translated is nothing but ‘Fish Stew and a Mud Pot’.

The film also has a milestone to add to its unusual but popular name — as veteran actor Prabhu’s 200th film.

With music by D.Imman, the film also stars Kalidas, Ashna Zaveri and Pooja Kumar. Actor Kamal Haasan reportedly makes a cameo appearance as a ‘witch doctor’.

The film is touted to be a comedy. Catch the trailer here:
