Stella Maris College (SMC), Chennai, is offering a postgraduate certificate programme in International Business, scheduled to start in June 2015. On successfully completing the course with distinction, students can seek admission to the Liverpool Hope University (LHU) Business School’s flagship postgraduate degree (International MBA) in the U.K.

Graduates from any discipline with minimum 60 per cent marks or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognised university are eligible to apply. Those who have work or internship experience will have an added advantage. During the three-month course at SMC, students will have to attend two-hour classes, five times a week. The fee for the programme is Rs. 2,00,000. On completion of the programme, students will be awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in International Business, and will be allowed to further pursue the MBA programme at LHU.

The IMBA programme by LHU offers an internationally-focused curriculum, opportunities for work placements and consultancy projects, industry interaction and executive training. To apply, students are required to have an IELTS score of 6.5 or more, with a minimum of 6 in reading and writing, and 5.5 in speaking and listening. A supportive reference from SMC is also necessary. The duration of the programme is nine months and the fee is £4,033.
