Italian culinary expo
Italian Culinary Expo – 2015, an exhibition that combines savouring and learning quintessential Italian cuisines, began at AIMS Institutes, Peenya. The event was organised in association with the institute for Italian cuisine – ALMA, Italy.
The chief guest was chef Manish Mehrotra. The expo was inaugurated by chefs Antonia Tardi, Cristian Broglia, Armando Di Filippo and Abhijit Saha.
The expo had cooking demos by expert chefs, cooking competition, cookery shows by celebrity chefs, culinary quiz and other events.
Graduation ceremony
Sambhram Academy of Management Studies celebrated ‘Graduation Day’ in which 384 graduates participated. N. Balasubramaniyan, Consultant-cum-Regional Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, addressed the students, emphasising the significance of scholars playing greater roles in government and private sectors.
Studio launch
M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS), in association with the PACE Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering Education, launched the new “PACE Design Studio” on its campus. MSRUAS is the fourth institution in India to participate in the PACE programme and the association is expected to benefit 3,200 students.
SAE teams
Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) is among the few colleges in India participating in the SAE-INDIA and SAE-International events. At present, there are three active SAE teams - Team Yaksha, Team Arion and Team Astra.
OxyTech 2K15
‘OxyTech2K15’, a national-level students’ convention and techno-cultural fest, was organised by the students of MCA and ISE departments of the Oxford College of Engineering.
H.R. Mohan, Associate Vice-President (Systems), The Hindu, was the chief guest.
A total of 742 students from 43 colleges participated.
20 years of XIME
Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) celebrated the 20th year of its full-time PGDM programme. ‘Roots’15’ started off with the keynote address delivered by the chief guest Sandeep Sen, Global CEO, Aegis BPO Service Ltd., which was followed by a panel discussion on “Entrepreneurship in emerging India”.
Along with the felicitation of the first batch of students (1995-1997), a commemorative volume titled ‘Roots’15 - A Perfect Score was released.
