Annual day: The Government First Grade College at Malur in Kolar district celebrated its annual day on April 16 in a different manner. It invited Salumarada Thimmakka, known for her affection for the environment by planting trees on the roadside, as chief guest in order to create awareness about the environment. A better and green environment will provide fresh air and help human-kind, she said. “I have nurtured over 950 trees. However, the government is not acting in accordance with my aspirations.
