Chevrolet's unveiled its FNR electric self-driving concept at the show. The car comes loaded with features including laser headlamps, taillamps, dual swing doors, and hubless wheel electric motors. The self-driving vehicle was developed as part of PATAC, a joint venture between GM and SAIC Motors.
The Buick Verano made its debut at the show. It comes with a 1.5-litre petrol motor mated to a six-speed gearbox that produces a healthy 118 bhp. The car is set to go on sale from the the second half of 2015.
Cadillac announced that it would launch a CT6 PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) later this year. The company said it expects the new powertrain to boost the fuel economy of the car by more than 200%. In this photo, General Motors CEO Mary Barra is seen next to the Cadillac CT6 at the show.
The Mercedes Benz concept GLC Coupé comes with a V6 biturbo, direct injection engine that belts out 367 bhp. The enormous 21-inch tyres, front and rear underbody protection, increased ground clearance and side running boards make it perfect for off-roading.
The Lifan X70 concept is a mid-sized SUV that will be powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine, producing 150 bhp. The car is also expected to come with four-wheel drive.
Lexus ES 300h comes equipped with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and an electric motor to produce 200 bhp. The company has also claimed that the new model offers better ride quality and improved handling.
The Toyota Levin HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) will be launched in China in the second half of the year. The company's joint venture with Guangzhou Automobile Group will make the Levin HEV.
