Gautham Menon’s next film with Ajith is garnering a lot of attention in film circles. The latest update about this project is that music composer Harris Jayaraj has teamed up with the director after a long gap of six years. This marks a ‘reunion’ of sorts between the duo that has given hits such as Minnale , Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram .

An official statement from the production house has confirmed this development. Composer Harris also tweeted, “Feel happy to join hands with my friend Gautham Menon and Mr. Ajith Kumar. Interesting to work on a full-fledged musical action thriller after quite some time.”

Composing sessions for the film, which has been produced by A.M. Rathnam of Sri Sathya Sai Movies, commenced just a couple of days ago. It is said that there are six songs in this movie, which also marks the combination of Ajith and Gautham for the first time.

Gautham, who is known to extract the best from his music composers, has worked with the likes of Oscar winner A.R. Rahman ( Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and the yet-to-be-titled film with Simbu) and maestro Ilaiyaraaja ( Neethane En Ponvasantham ) after parting ways with Harris Jayaraj.

Shoot on this much-anticipated film commenced in the city last week. While some sequences between Ajith and leading lady Anushka were canned in the first two days, the crew is busy shooting an action-packed sequence currently.

Meanwhile, there’s another addition to the cast as well. Actor Arun Vijay has been roped in to play a vital character in it. Confirming this piece of information, the actor said, “I’m happy to be part of this prestigious project. When you have big names like Gautham and Ajith, what more do you need?” While the buzz is that he is playing the villain in the film, the actor declined to comment, saying, “Gautham sir will officially announce details about my role soon.”
