Anams Man launched their Spring-Summer Collection in the city on Wednesday with a fashion show that had actors Neha Dhupia, Prachi Desai and Jeyam Ravi as show-stoppers.
The Saudi menswear brand was launched in the city in the summer of 2009 and has become one of the go-to places for men who love to wear designer labels that are affordable and well-fitted.
Malavika Manoj got the evening started singing for Chennai’s who’s who.
The collection featured T-shirts, printed shirts and checked shirts in lighter hues and fabrics.
“The range uses high-thread count and Giza cotton which makes the shirts lightweight and breathable,” said Adil Arif, country head for the brand in India.
Quirky prints on the shirts such as helmets, bikes and helicopters for the young and young at heart were some of the pieces that stood out.
Barakah is a collection with pastel shades and blended polycot fabric for summer. “Barakah, is a more affordable range,” said Adil, adding that the breezy collection has also made it to the movies.
The Club range was subtle and understated. The Arabic-lettered, printed T-shirts, checks and abstract designs with a hint of youth were the other features of this collection. “We keep the shine down on the satin finish for this range. This allows for an easy transition from day to evening wear,” said Adil, adding that the brand is available at most leading multi-brand outlets.
The show held at the ITC Grand Chola was choreographed by Karun Raman.
