7 surrender in Muthu Pandian murder case

Three persons accused in the murder of of Muthu Pandian, one of the key accused in Pasupathi Pandian murder case surrendered before a district court in Coimbatore on Thursday.

The three-– identified as M. Rajadurai (23), M. Balasubramanian (23) and J. Verghese (23), all belonging to Tiruneveli district –were remanded in judicial custody. Muthupandian was murdered at Alagarkoil on Tuesday by an armed gang.

Four more persons surrendered before the JM Court at Oddanchatram in Dindigul on Thursday.

M. Sundar (28) of Suthamalli in Tirunelveli district, G. Rajendran (39) of Ammapatti in Reddiyarchatram union in Dindigul, C. Sathish Kumar (27) of Samathuvapuram in Reddiyarchatram and P. Soundarapandi (23) of Theppakulathupatti village on Thadikombu Road in Dindigul district surrendered.

Oddanchatram Judicial Magistrate Babu Lal remanded them in 15 days judicial custody.

They were lodged in Madurai prison. Nearly 40 cases including murder, attempt to murder, land grabbing, sand mining, robbery and waylaying were pending against Muthupandian him in with various police stations especially in Ambathurai, Chinnalapatti, Dindigul West and Thadikombu police stations in the district.

An attempt was made on December 24, 2012 to murder Muthupandian of Karatazhaganpatti village.
