The body of a 21-year-old woman was found in the Ooty Lake, on Saturday. The Ooty Town West police retrieved the body and sent it to the Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Inquiries revealed that the woman was identified as M. Usha (21) of Kumarasamy Street. She was married to Murthi of Velli Tirupur two years ago, and the couple has a child.
She came to her father’s house a couple of months ago, and went missing from the house from Friday. The police suspect that she could have committed suicide.
