Change in train services due to rain

Due to heavy rain in Northern Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, the Southern Railway – Palakkad Division has announced the following changes in train services.

According to a release from the Palakkad Division, Train No.13352 Alappuzha – Dhanbad express scheduled to leave Alappuzha at 6.00 a.m. on November 17 (Tuesday) and Chennai Central at 23.00 hours on November 17 and train No.12512 Thiruvananthapuram – Gorakhpur express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram at 6.10 a.m. on November 17 and Chennai Central at 23.25 p.m. on November 17 have been cancelled.

Following trains are diverted due to heavy rains: Train No.12625 Thiruvananthapuram – New Delhi Kerala express that left Thiruvananthapuram at 11.15 a.m. on November 16 will be diverted via Renigunta, Gooty, Guntakkal, Raichur, Secunderabad and Balharshah. Train No.16687/16787 Mangalore/Tirunelveli – Vaishno Devi Katra Express of November 16 will be diverted via Renigunta, Gooty, Guntakkal, Raichur, Secunderabad and Balharshah. Train Number 22643 Ernakulam – Patna express that left Ernakulam at 17.10 p.m. on November 16 scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 6.30 a.m. on November 17 will be diverted via Melpakkam, Renigunta, Gooty, Dhone, Guntur and Vijayawada and Train No.17229 Thiruvananthapuram – Hyderabad Sabari express scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram at 7.15 a.m. on November 17 will be diverted via Renigunta, Gooty, Raichur and Begampet.
