Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner K. Vijayakarthikeyan on Friday inspected the anti-mosquito fogging operations the health wings officials were engaged in. A release from the civic body said that Mr. Vijayakarthikeyan went to Kamarajapuram in Ward 22 to supervise the operations.

During his visit there he interacted with the residents asking if they were aware of the steps to be taken to prevent and control mosquito breeding.

He explained how their small steps like closing water containers, destroying breeding sources like old, discarded containers could prevent breeding.

He then asked the health wing officials to concentrate on educating the public on mosquito control measures.
