Land for which pattas issued ‘missing’

July 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:37 am IST - COIMBATORE:

A group of residents of Chinnamathampalayam, near here, have alleged that the land for which they were given pattas was ‘missing’.

In a petition submitted to the district administration during the public grievances meeting held at the Coimbatore Collectorate on Monday, M. Patturaj, one of the petitioners, stated that 50 families belonging to weaker sections of the society were issued pattas on 2013 for land in Chinnamathampalayam.

However, till now they had not been shown the land despite repeated representations to the authorities.

Most of the families lacked a decent place to live and were subjected to hardship.

They urged the administration to resolve the issue at the earliest and give them possession of the patta land.
