Missing boys united with parents

The Coimbatore City Police tracked two teenagers who went missing in December 2012 following the launch of Operation Muskaan. They were united with their parents at the Podanur Police Station on Saturday night.

The boys S. Manosanthosh (then aged 14) who was in 10th standard and his school mate P. Prithviraj (then aged 13) who was in the 8th standard were from Kurichi Sundarapuram. They studied in the same school and left their house on December 7, 2012.

After the launch of Operation Muskaan, the police revisited the case.

The police traced them in Chennai.Manosanthosh was working in a bar at Vadapalani.

Prithviraj was working in a fast food shop at Tondiarpet. Inspector N. Premanandan told The Hindu that the boys were afraid to come home, fearing that their parents would scold them.

The police mediated between the boys and their parents and brought the teenagers to Coimbatore by train on Saturday night.
