More than 350 students of Anan Kids Academy made an attempt to enter the Guinness World Records by making a mosaic on 10,000 sq.ft. with origami lotuses at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in the city, on Friday. The mosaic was the image of Mahatma Gandhi.

They worked as 16 teams to complete the mosaic. Principal of the school J. Stephenson said that 60,008 origami lotuses were handmade by the students to make the record attempt. The record that the children tried to break was the record held by Myrto

Dimitrou and the Municipality of Athens’ Cultural, Sports and Youth Organization at Mets Stadium in Athens, Greece. In that record attempt on March 18, 2014, they made a display - on an area of 5,511 sq.ft. - with 52,000 origami water lilies.
