Woman held for theft found hanging

K. Anuradha (39) of Puliyakulam, who was arrested about a month ago in connection with theft of gold jewellery from a house was found dead hanging in her house on Sunday night.

Ramanathapuram police said Anuradha stole 11.5 sovereigns of jewellery from a house where she had earlier worked as a servant maid. Anuradha was arrested and the jewellery was recovered. The woman had recently come out on bail.
