The Bharatiya Janata Party will begin a series of meetings in Delhi from Monday that will see several of its Members of Parliament attending ‘shakti kendra’ meetings. The first round of meetings, which will be held under the directions of party president Amit Shah, will see grassroot workers get an opportunity to directly interact with the party MPs. Minister of State Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti will go to Khyala in West Delhi to interact with party workers.
Delhi BJP general secretary and South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri said in a statement that between December 1 and 20, various MPs will be going to nearly 2,700 Shakti Kendra meetings which will take place in the evenings on the working days of Parliament. While on off days, each MP may attend two to three meetings in a day, he said.
On Monday, BJP MP from Bihar Giriraj Singh will go to Dheerpur in Keshavpuram district, Jagdambika Pal, an MP from Uttar Pradesh will go to South Delhi’s Okhla, Ram Charit Nishad and Ravindra Kushwaha also from Uttar Pradesh will go to Inderlok, Vinod Sonkar to Ram Nagar in Chandni Chowk district and Santosh Ahlawat to New Delhi’s Kotla Mubarakpur.
