A businessman was shot dead by a group of three unidentified men near his shop in Mehrauli on Friday evening.

The victim has been identified as Girish Chandra Agrawal. He ran a shop in Ward Number 8 of Mehrauli and commuted on his car to the shop. On his scheduled time, he left his shop and was walking towards his car parked when the assailants struck.

“He had walked nearly 500 metres and was about to open the door when three men on a motor-cycle arrived. One of them took out a firearm and pumped bullets into Agrawal. One of the bullets hit him on the head and he fell on the ground. By the time onlookers could gather, the suspects drove away,” said a police officer.
