Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, on Thursday through his letter to Delhi University Vice-Chancellor urged him to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi's degree public.
In his to letter to DU V-C Yogesh Tyagi, Mr. Kejriwal said that there are reports that the reason behind not making the degree public is that it was not being considered 'safe'. "It will be better if you upload the degree on DU website. After all, people of this country have the right to know how much educated our Prime Minister is," he wrote.
Referring to Mr. Modi's successive election affidavits in which he has claimed that he has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Delhi University, he asked why are the RTIs seeking details of the degree weren't answered. On Wednesday, AAP leaders visited the University to meet Mr Tyagi and inquire about the degree.
The letter, written in Hindi, which he made public through Twitter, further questioned, if Mr. Modi didn't obtain a BA degree, how could he get a post graduation degree.

'Degree is forged'
Earlier, Mr. Kejriwal took to Twitter and alleged that the PM’s degree was “forged”, which is why DU was not sharing it.
“DU refuses to show records of PM’s degree. Why? My info - he did not do B.A. from DU. No records in DU. Degree published by some papers forged,” he said in a series of tweets.
Last Friday, the CIC, acting on a letter from Mr. Kejriwal, had asked Delhi University and Gujarat University to “make best possible search for the information regarding degrees in the name of Mr. Narendra Damodardas Modi in the year 1978 (Graduation in DU) and 1983 (Post Graduation in GU) and provide it to the appellant Mr Kejriwal as soon as possible”.
