“My mother forced me into the flesh trade”

13-year-old girl lodged complaint against her mother at the Paschim Vihar police station

A 13-year-old girl has accused her mother of forcing her into the flesh trade to earn quick money.

According to the police, the incident came to light on Tuesday after the victim approached the Paschim Vihar police station along with her grandmother.

In her complaint to the police, the victim said her 33-year-old mother forced her to establish physical relations with three men at three separate places. The men allegedly forced her to have unnatural sex with them.

“The victim told us that her mother thrashed her and did not give her food whenever she refused. Her mother allegedly locked her in the house without food,” said the police.

The victim’s statement has been recorded and she would be sent for a medical test on Thursday, the police added.

Since the victim’s father passed away some years ago, she lived alone with her mother at Paschim Vihar. To deal with the financial constraints, her mother pushed her into prostitution in January this year.

She further alleged that her mother took her to customers herself at different places in Delhi, frequenting Nizamuddin, Dwarka and Mianwali Nagar.

“The victim’s mother refused to pay attention to her condition even after coming to know that she was subjected to unnatural sex by the men,” said the officer.

Last week, the victim somehow managed to escape from her house and reached her maternal grandmother’s home. She revealed her ordeal to her, who in turn approached the police and got a case registered against her mother.
