Relatives of the doctor couple, who have been arrested for allegedly torturing a minor domestic help, have refuted all charges claiming that the accused had asked the girl to accompany them to Thailand, but she had turned down the offer.

While the victim has alleged that she was locked up by her employers in their flat, their relatives said the couple were willing to take the domestic help along with them to Thailand, but she did not agree. She even refused to stay with a relative in Vikaspuri. The couple then purportedly gave a Rs.500 note and the house keys to the girl.

No cameras had been installed by them in the house, as reported in the media, said the relatives. It is learnt that the police have traced the girl's mother and maternal uncle. They are trying to ascertain the veracity of the allegations made against the doctor couple.
