APOA to conduct elections

Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association at its special general body meeting at Olympic Bhavan here unanimously passed a resolution on Sunday to have separate elections to the Telangana and the Andhra Pradesh Olympic Associations at the earliest.

“The meeting attended by 151 of the 222 members and chaired by incumbent president Lagadapati Rajagopal has in principle decided to execute the Court directions to conduct elections to the APOA for the two newly-formed States,” K. Jagadishwar Yadav, general secretary of APOA said The schedule will be finalised next week.
