High Court asks police to submit case diary

April 25, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:51 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A Division Bench of the Hyderabad High Court comprising Chief Justice Kalyanjyothi Sen Gupta and Justice P. V. Sanjay Kumar on Friday asked the A.P. police to submit the case diary pertaining to cases registered after the killing of woodcutters in police firing in Seshachalam forests, by April 28.

The Bench was dealing with a writ petition filed seeking a CBI inquiry and second autopsy on the dead bodies. The State government informed the court that it had constituted a SIT headed by rank of Inspector General (IG).

The Bench wanted to know about the progress made till now in the investigation and asked the SIT head to produce the case diaries in sealed cover before the Bench.

The petitioners requested the court to consider their plea for a CBI probe. The Bench reminded that the endeavour was to see that investigation should be impartial and asked the petitioners to state clearly about bias if any. The case will be listed on April 28.
