Open House held on Police Commemoration Day

An open house programme was organised for students to mark Police Commemoration Day at Parade Grounds on Monday. It was inaugurated by Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahendar Reddy on Monday.

A wide range of arms, including light machines guns, sophisticated rifles, devices used in detection of bombs and other explosive substances were displayed at the venue. This apart, the policemen demonstrated handling of weapons.

A drill on different methods of crowd controlling like using tear gas, water cannon, lathi-charge and using mounted police was also conducted at the venue.

The Cyberabad police also organised an open house programme for school students. Cyberabad Commissioner C. V. Anand inaugurated the camp. He interacted with the students and explained about the functioning of the police department. Later, drill on crowd controlling was conducted.
