Government move criticised
The Janakeeya Manushyavakasha Prasthanam has flayed a move by the State government to appeal against the Kerala High Court’s recent ruling that being a Maoist is not a crime. A statement issued by the organisation said the step was aimed at scuttling the process of democracy while continuing the violation of human rights in the form of illegal custody and custodial tortures.
