K. Mathew Abraham will take charge as the new Managing Director of Kannan Devan Hills Plantations Company Private Limited (KHDP) on Tuesday. Mr. Abraham, 47, son of the late K.V. Abraham, personnel manager, Tata Oil Mills, is the third generation in his family to have worked for the company.

He is representing the head of sales and marketing of KHDP and is taking over from the current managing director Chacko P.Thomas. Mr. Abraham has over two decades of experience across the critical functions of tea plantations, factories and marketing. He is also the vice chairman of the Tea Trade Association of Cochin. — Staff Reporter
