More than 50,000 take TNPSC Group IV exam

Amid tight security, 59,520 candidates took the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Group IV examinations in the district on Sunday.

While 70,302 candidates had received their hall tickets, 10,782 candidates (15.34 per cent) did not turn up.

Collector L. Subramanian inspected examination centres at Tamil Nadu Polytechnic College, Sri Meenakshi Government College for Women, The Madura College and C.S.I. Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Pasumalai.

A total of 222 videographing teams were present at the 284 centres in the district. Twelve flying squads and 17 inspection teams visited the centres while the examination was in progress. Officials said there were no instances of malpractice anywhere.
