Corporation Bank launches drive

Corporation Bank recently carried out an e-business awareness campaign here and bank officials and students urged the business community to encourage cashless transaction.

Bank’s Executive Director B.K. Srivastava launched the initiative at Forum Fiza Mall, Pandeshwar, in the presence of Kurian Abraham, Deputy General Manager, and P.V. Pratap, chief executive offficer of MRL Merchant Services, provider of e-business units.

Officers and staff of the bank along with MBA students of Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management visited malls, commercial complexes and shops and requested the business community to carry out business in a cashless manner.

Shop owners were requested to encourage buyers to use debit or credit cards for payment.

The bank has been providing POS terminals at concessional rates to businessmen to encourage e-Business, a release said.
