Ganesh submits ‘evidence’ against Kunju

April 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:54 am IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

Kerala Congress (B) MLA K.B. Ganesh Kumar on Monday submitted in the court of the Kerala Lok Ayukta at least 13 documents which he later said were evidence that pointed to corruption and nepotism in the office of Public Works Minister V.K. Ebrahim Kunju.

The estranged ruling front legislator had courted political controversy when he requested the Lok Ayukta to evaluate the personal assets of his former Cabinet colleague to find out whether or not he had amassed wealth beyond his known sources of income.

Mr. Kumar had prayed that the Minister’s kith and kin also be brought under the ambit of the anti-corruption inquiry.

On the floor of the House earlier this year, he had accused the PWD Minister’s office of being a hive of corruption and nepotism. The MLA had said the same in the Assembly earlier. He filed a sworn affidavit in the court.
