Good response from customers

There was good response from customers to the unlimited night-free calling scheme introduced by the BSNL. As many as 28,000 landline orders and 35,000 broadband orders were registered in May and June for the facility. Chief General Manager, BSNL, Kerala, M.S.S. Rao said the disconnection of BSNL landlines had come down, which showed the acceptability and good service.

The free national roaming introduced from June 15 also received good response. The mobile number portability gain increased from 3,000 to 8,000 after the introduction of the free roaming facility, he said.
