The L’ecole Fest, the annual literary and arts festival of L’ecole Chempaka, was held on the school’s Edavacode campus recently.

The two-day event was inaugurated by children’s writer and prize-winning author of the Butter Fingers series A. Khyrunnisa.

Various competitions

The programme showcased a wide spectrum of talents of students through the various competitions such as recitation, music, drawing & painting, dance, mock interview, extempore, declamation, and debate. The Bharathanatyam competition was a new addition to the line of events this year, a release issued by the school said.

The group song and group dance competitions were the highlights of the festival.

A food stall was set up by the members of ‘Urjja,’ the outreach club of the school. The profits generated by the initiative would be utilised for charity activities, the organisers said.
