10 injured as omni bus overturns

Ten persons were injured after an omni bus overturned on the Tiruchi – Madurai national highway at Soriampatti near Valanadu in the early hours on Monday. The bus was on its way to Chennai from Madurai with 43 passengers on board when the accident occurred. Police said the bus driver lost control when the vehicle crossed a roadside pothole. The bus overturned causing injuries to passengers. The driver, cleaner and the spare driver sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to Manapparai and Tiruchi government hospitals. Others were sent by another bus to Chennai.
