Human chain for voter awareness

Students of medicine and nursing from the K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College formed a human chain in front of the Mahatma Gandhi Government Memorial Hospital (MGMGH) in the city on Monday. The initiative was taken to promote voter awareness among the general public, said Dr. M.A. Aleem, vice-principal, KAP Viswanatham Government Medical College. A total of 700 persons, including students of medicine and nursing, college and hospital staff and doctors participated in the event.

They raised placards promoting voter awareness and the importance of voting.

P. Karkuzhali, dean, KAP Viswanatham Government Medical College and A. Kanagasundaram, medical superintendent, MGMGH, were present.
