Honouring V.V. Sundaram, a noted musician, better known with the moniker ‘Cleveland’ formed the highlight of the anniversary celebrations of Nadhadweepam Trust here on Saturday.
Mr. Cleveland Sundaram was presented with a citation on the occasion.
A title ‘Nadhadweepa Seva Rathna’ was conferred on him in recognition of his services to the growth and popularity of Carnatic music.
Nagai R. Muralidharan and S. Bakthavatsalam, both noted vidwans, and J. balasubramaniam, Managing Trustee JB Cultural Foundation, Chennai, were among those who offered felicitations.
K. Ramesh, managing trustee of the trust, said the celebrations marked the 107th birth anniversary of Semmangudi R. Srinivasa Iyer.
