Clean-shaven and brush-moustached G.V. Rao was all over the dais using the several modern techniques of conversation to make students realise the significance of comfort zone and challenge mode.

Challenge zone

Interacting with students of P.B. Siddhartha Arts and Science College on Monday, he gave a clarion call to the students to come out of comfort zone and enter the challenge zone to make a mark in their chosen fields. “Listen to your heart and not to your mind for the later (the mind) could be manipulative. Your heart will not let you down,” said Mr. Rao in the special talk show – “Believe in Yourself”, organised by MPowerMe, a consulting outfit which he began in 2013.

Incidentally Mr. Rao, pursued his Intermediate at P. B. Siddhartha Arts and Science College and later he did his Bachelor of Science from Satavahana College before leaving to Chennai to pursue a course in the computers.

Narrating his schools days he told the students that he failed in his Class IV. “My mother took me away from school as I was erratic. As things started to fall in line I listened to my heart and left for Middle East and in my next 30 years I went to reach the pinnacle of the Information Technicality. I headed companies as COO, CEO and Managing Director,” said Mr. Rao.

The 90-minute session witnessed several novel ways emphasising the importance of hard work to achieve goals both in academics and in their future chosen careers.

Mr. Rao tactfully used the push-ups sequence to narrate students how one can shift from comfort zone to challenge mode. “Success in comfort zone will be minimal. The best can be achieved only when you raise the bar and enter the challenge mode.”

His Lion-Deer story went down well with the students and he mixed several interesting youngsters–friendly issues such as ‘Bahubali to drive home a good number of serious issues.

“The market is competitive and you should be prepared for the race.”
