Bodies of two drowned youths traced

Two bodies of the youths, who drowned at sea near Jodugullapalem area in Visakhapatnam on Thursday, were traced by the police search party on Friday. Search is on for another person, Vijaya Kumar, a motor mechanic.

Identified

The bodies were identified as Samuel Raju (19), an auto-rickshaw driver, and Lokesh (20), a painter by profession.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (Coastal Security Police) Narasimha Rao, the bodies were found between Rushikonda and Sagar Nagar.

A group of 10 youngsters from Balajinagar area in Arilova went to the Jodugullapalem beach for a swim.

Five of them ventured deep into the sea and were swept away by a big wave. While two of them managed to swim to the shore, three others drowned.

According to Arilova police station Inspector Dhanunjaya Naidu, the search operation will continue with the help of CSP, community lifeguards and local fishermen to trace the third person.
