A festival atmosphere pervaded the ENC Command Stadium here as Service and Defence personnel and their families participated in Eastern Naval Command Olympiad to win the trophy in different events and games.
The fun and frolic of physical activities comprised eight disciplines comprising conventional games such as volleyball, basketball and handball along with Navy specific events such as jal tarang, walkathon, yachting, tug-of-war and exotic games like telegames and athletics. The events were conducted on knock-out basis at different venues.
Apart from the usual squads from the Fleet, Flotilla, Submarines and Ashore Units, the six participating teams also included the Defence Civilians and the Defence Security Corps (DSC) teams.
