The outgoing students of the first batch of Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) were fortunate to have received their degrees from Chief Justice of India Justice H. L. Dattu, other legal luminaries, and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The CJI was the chief guest at the First Convocation of DSNLU held here on Friday. The Chief Minister, Justice N.V. Ramana, Supreme Court Judge, and Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta were guests of honour.

Advice

The students must have had their first lesson in humility by the conduct of the CJI and the Judges on stage as they responded with folded hands when their names were announced on stage, despite attaining the highest pedestal in society.

The CJI greeted the graduating students with folded hands as he left venue and the latter responded by bowing their heads.

Justice Dattu said that hard work, humility and honesty were the key to attaining success in the profession.

He also advised them to constantly update their knowledge and keep abreast of the latest developments in the field.

Varrey Venkata Naga Vishnu Teja bagged two gold medals as the ‘Best all round girl student’ and for the best performance in Political Science, Sociology and Economics (girl student), Poosarla Bayola Kiran secured the gold medal as the ‘Best all around boy student’ and six other gold medals for outstanding performance in different subjects and Delhi Chandana bagged a gold medal for best performance in ‘International Trade’.
