MCI team visits AMC

A team from the Medical Council of India (MCI) has done compliance verification assessment of Andhra Medical College on Saturday to increase the college’s intake from 150 students to 200 students for its fourth batch of MBBS course.

Coordinator of the team Deepak Joshi of Ahmedabad, members M. Raveendran of Coimbatore, Amod Kumar Sachon of Lucknow and A.K. Singh of New Delhi visited the college, its teaching hospital King George Hospital, lecture galleries, laboratories and other infrastructure facilities and, equipment and verified the faculty position.

They held discussions with principal of AMC S.V. Kumar, Superintendent of KGH M. Madhusudhana Babu, vice-principal N. Subba Rao, academic coordinator Ravi Venkatachalam, Assistant Principal P.V.S.S. Vijaya Babu and HoDs.

Dr. Kumar said the committee was explained the facilities created in the college and expressed the confidence that college would receive a positive remark.
