Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday addressed the CEOs’ conclave organised for the first time by the government after bifurcation at Hotel Novotel and rolled out a red carpet welcome to big companies to invest in Andhra Pradesh.
“We have unveiled separate policies to encourage IT and ITES units, electronic clusters, start-up ventures and campuses by anchor industries with several incentives. We expect an encouraging response to rebuild Andhra Pradesh into a trend-setting State,” he said harping on AP’s bid to showcase its USP as ‘Sunrise State.’
Top executives from 150 companies, including Google, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, IBM and TCS attended the conclave. The response from the delegates was quite enthusiastic.
Industries Commissioner J.S.V. Prasad said they would hold roadshows at various places to explore investment potential in AP.
Co-founder and president of Tessolve Srinivas Chinamilli told The Hindu that inspired by the proactive policies of Andhra Pradesh, they had decided to invest Rs.250 crore on a semiconductor testing and PCB design and fabrication unit in Visakhapatnam.
