A row of pearl chain can easily be detached from a fusion of emerald and diamond neckpiece. A pair of ear-hangings can be worn in three different ways – ear stud, locket and ear-hangings. With a slight adjustment, a neckpiece can be modified as a waist belt.
These multi-purpose ornaments and many more were put up at the two-day exhibition organised by Ksheeraawali-Cradle of Jewels from Hyderabad that began on Friday.
The collection, designed by Jyothi Kishan, brings out an array of ornaments that suit the wedding season.
With strings of uncut-diamonds, beads, kundans, emeralds and rubies embedded in gold, the collection has earrings, neckpieces, puvvulajada , finger rings and a host of multi-purpose ornaments that has a contemporary touch.
The interesting feature appears to be assorted black-bead chains created in new formats. “The speciality of these handcrafted jewellery is that they can be worn in different styles and can be teamed with any attire,” said Aishwarya Lanka of the jewellery house.
With a fine blend of ancient and contemporary styles, more than 200 creations were put up at the jewellery exhibition which will be open on Saturday at Aarna Boutique in Kirlampudi Layout from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
