VITA helps sportsmen

: A sum of Rs. 25,000, sponsored by the Vizag Information Technology Association (VITA) through the Olympic Association, Visakhapatnam, was handed over by AU Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju on Thursday to Pullate Ganesh, who is participating in an international karate meet in Nepal. Ganesh, a medal winner in karate, kung-fu and kick-boxing, is studying final year M.Com. in the university. VITA president Deepak S. Madala, vice-president Ravi Eswarapu, vice-chairman of Olympic Association T.S.R. Prasad, and secretary M. Syam Babu were present. On Wednesday Prof. Raju presented a cricket kit, sponsored by VITA to Vijaya Durga Cricket Club, Ganjipeta, Visakhapatnam, which is participating in the State-level Vaddadi Muthyala Rao memorial tourney to be held in Vijayawada from April 25 to 30.
