Woman dies in accident

A woman died on the spot, while her husband sustained injuries in a road accident near Old Gajuwaka on Sunday.

B. Aruna Jyothi (42) was going on a motorcycle along with her husband B. Dalappadu, a railway employee, towards Vadlapudi to attend a reception. Their vehicle was hit by a lorry from behind. Jyothi, who was sitting behind, died on the spot, while Dalappadu was severely injured in the accident.

The injured was shifted to KGH for treatment and the lorry driver T. Kanaka Raju was taken into custody.
